Sunday September 20th at Henderson Lake for the “Honouring Traditions Pow Wow” 5K and 2K Run/Walk, a community event rooted in the spirit of unity, celebration, and respect for Indigenous culture. This run is designed to honour the traditions of the pow wow — a traditional gathering that brings people together in dance, song, and ceremony.
5K and 2K Distances: The 5K route offers a scenic, around the lake path for runners, while the 2K provides an inclusive, family-friendly walk/run to ensure all ages and abilities can participate.
This run is not just a race — it is a journey of respect, remembrance, and reconnection with the land and each other.

Age categories will be 11&U, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29,30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
This is an official chip timed race with live online searchable results posted during the race and full printable results and downloadable Finisher Certificates following the race.
Saturday Sept. 19th at the PowWow venue in the Convention Centre from 1pm - 6pm
Sunday race morning between 8:45 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. at the start/finish line.
